How the IB and research panel is built
The panel sits beside a drafted decision. It never says the decision is right or wrong. It ends with something to try and something to check in six weeks. The decision stays with the school.
Where the sources come from
Every source is added to the library by a person, with author, year, title and a link. Nothing is looked up or written by a model while you use SchoolOS. When no library topic matches a decision, the panel says "No IB or research guidance for this topic yet" instead of guessing.
What the strength labels mean
- Strong
- A systematic review or several well-designed studies agree, in settings close to an international secondary school.
- Moderate
- A review or guidance report draws on a body of studies, but the studies vary in design or setting, or the authors name open questions.
- Limited
- One study, a small sample, or a setting far from this school (another country, age group or system).
What it can't say
Every entry names what its studies did not look at, including where and with whom they were done. When the library holds a limiting or contrary finding, it is shown in the same panel.
IB references
Each IB reference names the document and its year. Practice codes show "to check" until someone has checked them against the current document.
