What changed for students? What next?
Why this, why now: neither of the other two priorities happens through a policy. 14 of 62 teachers are new this year. SLT has not yet named the one teaching practice it will protect. Outcome: the named practice seen in visited lessons. There is no baseline yet, because the practice is unnamed. Aim: 8 of 10 visited lessons by March. Leading indicator: SLT visits with an agreed follow-up, from 6 of 9 this half term to 9 of 9 every half term from January. The decision it forces (Jonas Berg, by 30 Nov 2026): what is our one instructional non-negotiable, which SLT member holds it, and which existing meeting time do we give up for it? What it stops: one-off training days that have no follow-up, and leaders who observe without being observed.
