Two teachers give the same work a grade within one band.
What changed for students? What next?
Why this, why now: our vision promises consistent judgments, yet 19 of 47 students who moved from MYP 5 into DP dropped two or more points in their first DP report, eight I&S teachers marking the same script spread across up to three bands in June, and who agrees the standard has been an open question since 12 May. Outcome: cross-marking within one band. Baseline: 3 of 8 I&S teachers in Jun 2026, then 6 of 8 after one joint cycle in Aug. Aim: 7 of 8 in every subject group by March. Leading indicator: subject groups that have run a joint standardisation session this term, from 2 of 11 in Aug to 11 of 11 by 15 Dec. The decision it forces (Jonas Berg, by 31 Oct 2026): who agrees the standard across programmes, and who can overrule a teacher's grade? What it stops: private marking of major tasks.
